City of Industry, CA – Majestic Realty, the nation’s largest, privately-held development company, has named Reon Roski chief executive officer. The daughter of Majestic’s Chairman of the Board, Ed Roski, Jr., Reon Roski, a 30-year veteran of the commercial real estate industry, has been a member of the company’s board of directors since 1997. She joined the company as senior counsel in 2007 and was named managing director later that year.
As CEO, Reon Roski represents the third generation of Roskis to help lead Majestic Realty. Fast approaching its 75th anniversary, the company was started by Edward P. Roski, Sr. with a single lease transaction in the late 1940s. Under the direction and tireless efforts of Ed Roski, Jr., who joined his father’s company in 1966, Majestic has grown to become an industry leader as the largest, privately-held development company in the country with a diverse, 87-million-square-foot portfolio and an additional 14 million square feet under development in 2022.
Built on a foundation of best-in-class industrial buildings in key markets across the country, Majestic has widely expanded its portfolio over the past few decades to include office, and retail, as well as sports, entertainment, hospitality and multi-family projects including the Staples Center (now Crypto.com Arena) in Los Angeles, the transformation of the Fort Worth Stockyards National Historic District, and the Silverton Casino Hotel in Las Vegas.
As CEO, Reon Roski will continue to work side-by-side with her father, amplifying the strategic vision and company growth as she continues to learn from his 55-plus years of deal-making experience.
“I am incredibly humbled and honored for the opportunity to carry forward with the vision, integrity and work ethic instilled by my grandfather and my father,” said Reon Roski. “We’ve proven to be an amazing team and this is not only the right time, but it’s an exciting time for us to continue to work together, to expand upon that shared vision and continue to pursue growth opportunities for Majestic across diverse projects and new markets.”
“We have a very dedicated family of professionals who have been with us, in many cases, for decades, and we’re eager to continue to share our passion for this business and to demonstrate our leadership, our strong fundamentals, innovation and success on diverse commercial projects across the United States,” said Reon Roski.
Prior to coming in-house at Majestic, Reon Roski served as a corporate real estate transactional attorney for Glaser Weil (formerly Christensen Miller Fink Jacobs Glaser Weil & Shapiro) and Allen Matkins. Throughout her legal career, she guided numerous large, complex and innovating real estate transactions, averaging more than 18 million square feet of transactions per year.
A graduate of the University of Southern California and Loyola Law School, she completed extensive studies abroad, including graduate school in China. Fluent in Mandarin, Roski worked for the Chinese government with respect to real estate matters.
